Gaurav Sharma holds the position of Chief Information Officer at MMC Port Holdings, Malaysia from June 2020.  Prior to joining MMC Ports, he was heading the Information Technology Division at Port of Tanjung Pelepas, where he was instrumental in implementing various long-term strategic transformation projects.

His experience includes leading various technology projects in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia.  Gaurav has over 28 years’ experience in diverse business environments – Information Technology, cyber-security and earlier maritime shipping (Ship Masters Captain) with APL/NOL Shipping Group, Singapore.He has completed his post-graduation in General Management & Leadership from INSEAD Business School – France/Singapore and completed an Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning certificate program from MIT Sloan, USA.

He is a certified PMP® (Project Management Professional) from PMI USA, Certified Digital Transformation Professional and Agile Project Management Practitioner.
