Raymond specialises in providing strategic management direction, particularly in the field of digital transformation strategy & management. He holds a Master of Business Administration majoring in Strategy & Planning. A Chartered Accountant registered with CPA Australia and Malaysian Institute of Accountants, he has strong working and practical knowledge in finance & accounting.
Raymond is the author of several articles and research papers. He was twice selected by peers in the industry as ‘Best Thought Leader’ in 2017, and once again in 2019 – an award reserved for recognising leadership aimed at external positioning of the individual’s competencies in delivering value. In 2023, Raymond received the distinguished Technopreneur Excellence Award for his unwavering commitment to technological innovation and growth.
Raymond served as President of Contact Centre Association of Malaysia for the period between 2019 and 2023. During this period he brought constitutional reforms, fortified the Association’s governance and commitment to transparency, setting the stage for a sustainable future. The Association’s prominence grew during his leadership, forging strong relationships with government agencies, and other industry bodies both locally as well as in the region. He continues to serves as Immediate Past President of the Association, providing guidance to the newly elected office bearers.
Raymond serves as Treasurer of the Digital Global Business Services Council of Malaysia (GBS Malaysia) and chairs its Research Committee. Under his leadership, the Committee published Malaysia’s Global Business Services (GBS) Strategy Report for 2022- 2027. Raymond also serves as Councillor of PIKOM, the National Tech Association of Malaysia. His role in these national industry associations is to provide his expert opinion and recommendation for the development and growth of Malaysia as a high-value digital GBS hub.
Given his in-depth knowledge and expertise in the digital technology industry, Raymond was appointed to MDEC’s Talent Expert Network Panel and Grant Recommendation Committee to provide his expert advice, industry inputs, and recommendation related to digital technology talent development in Malaysia.
As a way to give back to the community, Raymond serves as an Adjunct Mentor at INTI International University & Colleges, allowing him to encourage students, help them develop their skills, and build their confidence.
Above all, he is a sports enthusiast and has a deep passion for music.
